Wabi Sabi : Means a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay.

Their logo depicts a Circle with golden ratio within the circle of the Enzo in logo. Which is the genesis of everything in cosmos inside — Which means Accept what you are and to be peace at it . This impressed me a lot because we all need to understand it, even though it’s hard.

Acceptance of transience and imperfection.

Accept what is, stay in the present moment, and appreciate the simple, transient stages of life. This Comes from buddhism, you can be something you feel imperfect but you accept it.

Finding beauty in the imperfection and appreciate it.

The 3 techniques introduced during the session were

Abstract Painting : We were instructed to sit at random, with varying distances and directions. We were given a medium-sized canvas and the option to select any favourite colours. I drew random Boho floral patterns using all bright colours. During my one-on-one session with Manpreet, she explained to me what my feelings were and why I chose those colours, which was completely appropriate given the circumstance.

The technique is based on the idea that everyone perceives things differently. This is to create something that defines the person you are or people who are related to you. The colour and abstract that each person will use are determined by their current emotions and circumstances. In one-on-one sessions, this will be explained to everyone. The mind is as random as it can be during this time. These are the default conditions for the eureka moment.

You are feeling lonely right now, but you will eventually find happiness in that.

Group Activity 1 : We were instructed to sit in a circle and were given a large canvas with colours. Each of us was given a few seconds to paint abstractly before passing it on to the next person in the group. This is known as Collective Intelligence, and it involves working together as a team to visualise a common goal. Connect back to society while remaining human to motivate yourself. This was a lot of fun, and each of us wrote what came to our minds in various colours. The last few minutes were the most fun because we all built a beautiful canvas together with our thoughts and feelings on it.

Mandala : I used to make regular mandalas with a pen, and I was thinking the same thing here, but this one was different. At first, we were instructed to sit in a circle facing outside. A small canvas, earbuds, and our colors were given to us.The moments were very peaceful, and calming background music was playing. We marked on our canvas by dipping the earbuds in paint.

This is primarily for improving our comprehension of Nothing is permanent. Even though we are surrounded by a lot of people, we frequently feel alone. Using this method, you can give yourself more importance and cultivate patience and connection with yourself

I give the overall experience of WabiSabi’s Art Therapy, which lasted four hours, a 5/5 rating because it helped in many ways, some of which I may not be able to share here.

Do you want to try something different like this?Do you reside in Bangalore? On October 9 at Lahe Lahe, they will hold yet another session before Deeksha departs for the US. More information can be found here. You will receive one-on-one and one-to-many sessions to use art to learn about their emotional self.
